VANCOUVER, BC, June 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Xantrex Technology Inc. (TSX:XTX) has received a purchase order from the US government for up to US$4 million of XHR Series programmable power supplies for use in testing and calibration of electronics and communications devices. The order is for a delivery period of four to five years with initial shipments starting this quarter. The high power density, one-kilowatt XHR product converts alternating current power into a wide range of precisely controlled direct current power for test and measurement applications. "The XHR was selected because it has the highest power density of any benchtop programmable power product, and because it was the best match in terms of form, fit and function for the customer's specifications," said Mossadiq S. Umedaly, Xantrex's Chairman. "We have a long history of supplying the US government and its contractors with high-quality products, including a version of the XHR that has been operating for several years on board the International Space Station." The $4 million order was placed with Xantrex through TestMart of San Bruno, CA, the leading equipment and services supplier to the US government for test and measurement products. In April, Xantrex disclosed that it had retained TestMart for assistance in selling to the US government and authorized federal contractors. About Xantrex Xantrex Technology Inc.
