Google says flaw only affects Microsoft’s separate desktop search software

It seems an age ago but remember back to last week when Google started a guerilla attack on Microsoft with a plug-in called Apps Sync for Well, Microsoft's complaining about it being FUBAR - the way Tom Hanks and his boys used the expression in "Finding Private Ryan" - and disabling Outlook's search capabilities. Outlook product manager Dev Balasubramanian said in a blog post that a "serious bug/flaw" disables Outlook's ability to search e-mails and contacts. Google acknowledges a screw-up but says it only affects Microsoft's separate desktop search software, which it's working to support, not Outlook's search. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
