ParaScale, Inc. announced the appointment of Jack Norris to the company’s executive management team as vice president of marketing and business development. Norris will report directly to ParaScale CEO Sajai Krishnan.

“Cloud computing and cloud storage in particular, are driving accelerating innovation through the storage industry,” said Sajai Krishnan, CEO, ParaScale. “Jack’s strong business skills and his significant storage industry experience at Rainfinity and EMC will help our executive team bring ParaScale’s cloud storage benefits to our enterprise and service provider customers.”

ParaScale’s automated, scalable platform leverages low cost commodity hardware and has the potential to redefine enterprise file storage.”

Norris has over 20 years of enterprise software experience with leading virtualization and storage technology companies, both private and public organizations. During this time, he has catapulted start-ups including Rainfinity, the leader in network file virtualization acquired by EMC, to a leader in its respective marketplace and successfully directed the integration of its technology into EMC’s virtualization portfolio. Most recently, Norris served as vice president of marketing for Wanova, an early-stage desktop virtualization software provider; and previously held senior executive roles with Aster Data, Brio Technology, SQRIBE, and Bain Consulting. Norris holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and a BA in economics with honors and distinction from Stanford University.
