07/21/2005 - Sybase reported that total revenues for the second quarter increased 9% to $204.4 million up from total revenues of $188 million year-over-year. License revenues increased 12% to $67.9 million. Pro forma operating income increased to $34.3 million, representing a 17% operating margin, compared with pro forma operating income of $23.1 million, or 12% operating margin, for the second quarter of 2004. Operating income calculated in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) increased to $28.1 million, representing 14% operating margin, compared with operating income of $16 million, or an 8% operating margin for the second quarter of 2004.

InfraGard Financial Services Advisory Board
07/6/2005 - Sybase hosted the inaugural InfraGard Financial Services Advisory Board meeting with eight of the top financial specialists in the New York City area. The meeting was on July 7 at Sybase's midtown office. Sybase is an InfraGard sponsor and is helping to promote the alliance's goal of information sharing and analysis, encouraging best practices among the city's financial services institutions to help protect New York's critical financial data infrastructure. Many Fortune 500 executives are members of InfraGard. The NYC Metro IMA, Financial Services Advisory Board analyzes the needs and identifies gaps recognized by regulators, councils, and other banking and financial services groups in the industry. This analysis will enable financial institutions to be more effective and benefit future InfraGard seminars and conferences. The president of the NYC Alliance Joseph Concannon welcomed the Advisory Board and began the coordinating its first formal presentation in December.
