NoMachine and Cloud Technology Integrator Partner
Arcus Cloud Brokers delivers enhanced cloud-based computing services for organizations moving IT infrastructures to virtual Linu

NoMachine, a provider of desktop virtualization, remote access and application delivery, has announced a technology collaboration with Arcus Cloud Brokers, a cloud based services and solutions provider focused on delivering to the SME's, charity and education market in the UK. The partnership will enable Arcus Cloud Brokers to deliver NX hosted desktops as an integral part of its Linux-based cloud service offerings, thus further extending its already established cloud-based services portfolio.

As cloud computing gains popularity, more organizations today are actively looking to move towards cloud computing. Without the worry of significant upfront hardware costs, a cloud-based hosted solution offers vast savings and total flexibility as well as energy efficiency and economies of scale. But, many organisations find themselves with a deluge of information to digest, being overwhelmed by the vast selection of cloud-based offerings on the market.

Arcus Cloud Brokers focuses on implementing solutions based on the latest cloud and virtualization technologies to allow clients to minimise their costs and IT management headaches.

NoMachine NX, already a leader in hosted virtual desktop solutions and renowned for its fast and reliable access to remote applications, as well as being a key element in well-documented and successful migrations to Linux, is perfectly suited to those same virtual and remote Linux desktops being made available in a public, private or hybrid cloud.

The benefits and trade-offs of cloud computing are subject of many reports and reviews, but as a recent Garner report argued, there is one element that will become evident. "As cloud computing evolves, combinations of cloud services will be too complex and untrustworthy for end consumers to handle their integration." Gartner says "The future of cloud computing will be permeated with the notion of brokers negotiating relationships between providers of cloud services and the service customers."

"There is a growing demand by organizations to use virtualization technologies to deploy, maintain and access Linux-based, and proprietary, business desktops and applications in more flexible and efficient ways over the internet, but there is also an increasing need for partners, or brokers, who can provide the expertise and management that these potential cloud adopters need. As a NoMachine partner, Arcus Cloud Brokers' can offer customers a more efficient use of cloud-based application deployment, and performance, thus increasing productivity and innovation, whilst reducing expenditure." said Business Development Manager of NoMachine.

As it gains momentum, the whole paradigm of cloud computing brings with it complexities that businesses are faced with today: what to implement and how to implement a cloud-based infrastructure. Arcus, with its knowledge and expertise in the latest cloud architectures and services, leverages such solutions to meet clients' IT implementation and support requirements ad-hoc. By partnering with NoMachine, this knowledge is now extended to delivery of enterprise-class Linux virtual desktops on Amazon's EC2 Web.

"Arcus has significant competitive advantage in the fact that we are totally focused on cloud technologies and have extensive expertise in developing on and integrating the different cloud technologies and frameworks, including providing 24x7 managed services," said Paul Hennessy, managing director of Arcus Cloud Brokers. "Our vision is enabling SMEs, Charity Organisations and Educational Institutions to operate in a world where all their IT is in the Cloud and delivered as a utility".
