Enable 1.2 and SBE
Enable, a framework-level tool for the localization of PowerBuilder applications, released version 1.2, which introduces Enable Explorer, a powerful runtime utility to view the visual structure of running windows, select and take notes on controls and DataWindow objects, as well as resize/ move them, and translate or modify the translation of each item, including parametric phrases. Explorer can also be deployed to end users. In addition, Enable Extractor, a fast parser, has been enhanced to capture arguments to methods parameters (e.g., 1st and 2nd parameters of Messagebox function calls), and the filter dialog is now easier to use. Among multiple other improvements, Enable now also automatically translates computed fields.
With the release of version 1.2, a Small Business Edition (SBE) with full functionality has also been presented to meet the localization requirements of developers with less complex client/server applications (600 text strings or fewer).
