This session will ask and answer the following key questions: Is Ruby on Rails an acceptable enterprise technology?
- How does Ruby stack up to alternatives in terms of scalability and performance?
- How do RoR applications fit into a SOA strategy and integrate with enterprise services such as LDAP?
- How do you integrate Rails applications with legacy services and databases?
- How do you leverage Rails to do rapid development on enterprise integration projects?
About Obie FernandezObie Fernandez has ten years of professional software development experience and seven years of consulting experience, mostly around Java enterprise technology. For over three years he was chief architect of MediaOcean, a dot.com success story. He started evangelizing Ruby (and Rails) in early 2005.
