The company also announced it has joined the 100,000 Jobs Mission Coalition. In support of this expansion and strategic initiative, the company has hired and appointed Retired Col. EGS has launched the expansion of its veterans hiring program to enrich its employee base with talented, experienced, and dedicated employees, while providing employment opportunities for veterans, retirees, wounded warriors and military family members. Ron Rittenmeyer, Chairman, President, and CEO of EGS, stated, "First and foremost, we appreciate the military service and dedication of those who have made sacrifices for our country. We recognize and value the commitment, integrity, and skills of U.S. Service Members, veterans, retirees, wounded warriors and military family members. We are pleased to be able to bring these same resources and attributes to our company. We see this as a great opportunity to leverage these qualities for the benefit of our company, our clients, and the veterans who we welcome to our team. We are also very pleased that Ret. Col. Dennis Tewksbury has joined the company to lead this effort. He brings an excellent blend of personal qualities and experience as we build a world-class veteran's recruiting program." Mr. Tewksbury joined EGS following an over 30-year career in the U.S. Army, during which he served in Germany, Cuba and throughout the U.S., with two tours at the Pentagon. In addition, he served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm and completed two tours in Afghanistan. Commenting on his experience, Mr. Tewksbury stated, "Leaving the military and entering the civilian sector can be a daunting task. Teaming with a business that values and supports veterans is a great way to make the transition. I'm excited to be doing this work for a great organization and proud to be able to support my fellow service members as they make this transition." The company's announcement coincides with the recognition and celebration of Veteran's day on November 11, 2012.
