ACLJ: Iran Pursues Sham Trial Against American Pastor Saeed For His Faith

WASHINGTON, Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which focuses on constitutional and human rights law, said today it is outraged that Iran has set a trial date for American Pastor Saeed Abedini, a U.S. citizen who is being held in an Iranian prison because of his Christian faith. The ACLJ contends that not only is Iran violating Pastor Saeed's fundamental freedom of religion, but it is making a mockery of "justice."

The ACLJ learned last week that Pastor Saeed's case is now in the hands of one of Iran's most notorious judges – one of Iran's "hanging judges."  The ACLJ represents Pastor Saeed's family in the United States and is working to secure his freedom.

ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow has more in this post:

Iran Pursues Sham Trial Against American Pastor Saeed for his Faith in One Week

Led by Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow, the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) focuses on constitutional law and is based in Washington, D.C. and has offices worldwide.
