LogLogic Open Log Services Power First SOA For Log Management
Streamlines IT And Compliance Process Automation

"While being able to regularly index log data at speeds of upwards of 90,000 messages per second is impressive, what our customers ultimately care about is the utility our platform affords them," said Levin. "Getting the data into your Log Management platform is one thing, but being able to easily exchange and share data with others through Open Log Services is key. While other vendors are marching towards ever-more proprietary solutions designed to lock customers into narrow applications, we are opening the door to enable enterprises to realize the full potential of log data to automate IT controls and compliance mandates."

A services-oriented architecture is a way to build applications through a series of interconnected components, or services. The goal of SOA is to allow people to reuse services, making application development faster and cheaper while reducing complexity. LogLogic's Open Log Services also enable intelligent sharing of data with other applications and services, fueling greater insight into user, systems and network activity. LogLogic's Open Log Services have been developed based on the principles of SOA and conforms to all major standards (Java, SOAP, XML, PERL, PHP and .NET).

LogLogic Open Log Services will provide low-level services to a number of applications including Security Event and Information management solutions, EMC Smarts, IBM Tivoli and HP OpenView, conforming to Web services and Java standards. LogLogic Open Log Services are designed so that they can be embedded in other software applications from managed security service providers and other vendors. Recently inked deals with Counterpane, CSC, VeriSign and Integralis, establish LogLogic as the undisputed leader in LMI as a service.
