Her estranged husband stands accused of her murder, his trial was to have started this past Monday, but not before prosecutors were reportedly forced to tell the court that an ex-lover of hers had confessed to eight murders - and said he left a ninth victim for dead but it wasn't her. The ex-lover reportedly offered to take a lie detector test or "truth serum" to prove he didn't kill her. He reportedly claimed he committed murder because he was abused as a child. He hasn't been arrested - or so Wired reported over the weekend, citing the defendant's father as a source of the lover angle and saying the attorneys were bound to silence by a court-imposed gag order. Nina is or was the Russian-born wife of Linux file system creator Hans Reiser; she has been missing since last September but her body has never been found. Her husband and her lover Sean Sturgeon were once reportedly friends. In fact Sturgeon was described as having been Hans' "financial agent" when he wasn't driving a recycling truck. Sturgeon sued Hans in 2005 for repayment of a $131, 552 loan made to Reiser and his file system company Namesys. Reiser in turn accused Sturgeon of seducing his wife during their divorce proceedings, repeatedly drugging her with Ecstasy, engaging in "bondage, domination, sadism and masochism practices," and attempting to plunder Namesys. Reiser acted as his own attorney in the matter. Does Greta van Susteren know she's missing this? Anyway, on Monday Reiser's trial was delayed another three weeks because his lawyer couldn't fit it in his schedule. He remains in jail where he's been since last year. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
