JDJ Is Coming to JavaOne !!

(May 7, 2003) - "Java is forging the future," says Java Developer's Journal editor-in-chief Alan Williamson, "and JDJ is reporting every minute of it." He was responding to media questions today as news spread of JDJ's greatly increased level of participation at this year's JavaOne, Sun's Worldwide Java Developer Conference, now in its eighth year at San Francisco's Moscone Center. "The entire JDJ Editorial Board has been invited to host a BOF session (short for birds-of-a-feather)," explains Williamson, "It takes place on June 10, the opening day of the conference, at 9:30 pm." That means that JavaOne attendees will have a chance to interact with the likes of Calvin Austin, Joe Winchester, Bill Roth, Eric Stahl, Blair Wyman, and Alan Williamson himself. "JDJ, like JavaOne, is eight years old, full of life... and looking forward to a decade more of development," Williamson added. As usual, SYS-CON Radio will be broadcasting live from JavaOne, interviewing the movers and shakers of the Java world, exploring wider and deeper than any other information source the continuing growth of Java as a platform, both in technical terms and in terms of geography and of reach across disparate vertical industries, from the financial sector to mobile telephony.
