(September 19, 2002) - Kenamea, Inc., has released a major new version of the Kenamea Web Messaging Platform. The Kenamea Web Messaging Platform Version 2.0 continues to enable real-time access to critical business information and interactivity with core applications via the Internet. Version 2.0 further extends enterprise reach to remote employees, trading partners, and customers by providing enhanced interoperability with any environment via HTTP. The system also provides new desktop capabilities, including support for Microsoft .NET Windows Forms applications, and support for additional mobile devices. Version 2.0 additionally provides improved performance and reliability for Kenamea-powered applications. Key features include: o An open, standards-based messaging API that extends messaging capabilities to any platform that supports HTTP. Web clients and business logic can send and receive messages in an event-driven, bidirectional manner using standard HTTP communications. o Enhanced support for integration between systems using Kenamea messaging and traditional Web business logic. o Performance enhancements and high availability features increase the throughput and reliability of Kenamea-powered applications. On a single, low-cost server, Kenamea can handle more than 1,600 messages per second while maintaining end-to-end latency of less than one second. o Support for Microsoft .NET Windows Forms applications enables developers to construct distributed, event-driven client applications using any language supported by the .NET Framework. * Runtime software and developer tools that enable customers to extend applications securely to mobile devices, including Pocket PC and RIM Blackberry. This enables end users to access real-time information regardless of bandwidth constraints, and provides application availability even when the network connection is lost.
