(May 13, 2003) - Apress has acquired the rights to several Peer Information Group imprints: Friends of Ed, Glasshaus, and Curlingstone. In addition, Apress has acquired the publishing rights to over 300 former Wrox titles and contracts. The acquisition provides Apress with the majority of Peer Information Group's intellectual property, including book contracts, archives, software, domain names, and company trademarks. "This acquisition fits perfectly with Apress' vision to publish 'for professionals by professionals,'" said Paul Manning, Springer-Verlag's director of sales and marketing (Springer-Verlag is Apress' worldwide distributor and partner). Financial terms of the transaction were not released. Apress serves millions of readers worldwide with titles available in 13 languages. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
