Aug. 6, 2003 04:22 PM
(August 6, 2003) - IBM has just announced new software to help companies address the integration requirements associated with business to business (B2B) transactions and trading community integration involving their partners, suppliers, and customers. The integration solution extends IBM's WebSphere Business Integration platform to help businesses in every size and revenue category manage a B2B trading community. IBM will complement the new offering, WebSphere Business Integration Connect V4.2, with community integration services. IBM and Viacore (an IBM Business Partner) will provide integration products and services to companies that want to build trading communities to manage small, mid-market, and enterprise-sized trading environments. IBM will provide the community integration solution through WebSphere Business Integration Connect and can complement it with other offerings in its WebSphere Business Integration portfolio. Viacore will provide its community integration services as a means for value chain leaders in various industries to connect new partners and manage their private trading communities rapidly and effectively. WebSphere Business Integration offers a complete approach to integration that enables businesses to model and simulate a business process and update that process automatically. It addresses a company's specific need to exchange information with trading partners quickly, securely, and cost effectively. It is a single, integrated technology platform that helps eliminate the obstacles involved in integrating a trading community by streamlining the supply chain. WebSphere Business Integration Connect will be available in three editions:
WebSphere Business Integration Connect V.4.2 supports open standards and multiple operating system platforms including Linux, Sun Solaris, and Windows 2000. WebSphere Business Integration Connect is planned for availability in the third quarter of 2003. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
