Concurrent’s NightStar LX debugging and analysis toolkit is now available for two additional Linux distributions – Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and openSUSE 10.2 from Novell. NightStar is an integrated Qt-based GUI tool set for developing and tuning time-critical 32-bit and 64-bit applications on x86 systems. NightStar tools reduce test time, increase productivity and lower development costs.

The NightStar LX suite includes the NightView source-level debugger, the NightTrace event analyzer, the NightProbe data monitor, and the NightTune system and application tuner. In addition to the newly announced support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and openSUSE, NightStar LX continues to be available for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 from Novell, as well as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.

NightStar tools run with minimal intrusion, thus preserving application execution behavior and determinism. Users can quickly and easily debug, monitor, analyze and tune multi-threaded and parallel C, C++ or FORTRAN applications in real-time. An interactive memory debugger helps find and eliminate memory problems during the debug process without code recompilation.
