Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

IsoSpace Releases Version 4.6 Real-Time Collaboration Software
IsoSpace Releases Version 4.6 Real-Time Collaboration Software

IsoSpace, Inc. has released IsoSpace v4.6, the next generation of its real-time collaboration software product. The company has enhanced key product features, improved system performance, and added new capabilities to its suite of real-time collaboration and communication tools. IsoSpace v4.6 combines permanent secure file storage for all file types, with co-editing, screen sharing, whiteboard and document markup, IM and e-mail, task management, polling, discussion boards, VoIP and video.

IsoSpace's new release delivers a complete array of improved Web conferencing tools along with the ability to make permanent recordings of presentations for subsequent replay of the session. Wireless text messaging to a user's cell-phone is now available.

IsoSpace can now link to MS Exchange servers, connecting to user's Exchange calendars, so that meetings can be optimally scheduled. Calendars are automatically updated to mark the meeting's start date/time. Impromptu conferences between two or more users are initiated by simply messaging others to meet in any chosen room where all can communicate in real-time.

The US government has tested and approved IsoSpace's security features for use within government agencies. IsoSpace has also received DCTS certification by the DOD as being interoperable for collaboration applications within all DOD systems. Some IsoSpace clients require the ability to record/archive all events within IsoSpace for security or compliance purposes. IsoSpace's modular architecture can enable this functionality when needed.

The IsoSpace 4.6 system is built on open technology standards such as J2EE and XML. For further information, visit the website.
