Speaker Bios: Deepak Alur is vice president of engineering at JackBe Corporation. He is responsible for the design, architecture and development of JackBe's enterprise mashup products and has 18 years of industry experience in building highly scalable enterprise software systems. Prior to JackBe, he spent 10 years at Sun Microsystems in different roles, most recently as principal engineer at Enterprise Web Services practice, where he was instrumental in successfully leading and executing several large-scale mission-critical software projects for customers like eBay and RouteOne. Passionate about building high-quality enterprise systems using pattern-based approaches, Alur is highly experienced in object-oriented design, Java, J2EE, Web services and service-oriented architecture. He is also a co-author of the well-known Java enterprise software best practices book, Core J2EE Patterns.
