Mark Logic, a pioneer in XML database management and content retrieval, and Stylus Studio, have announced a partnership. Mark Logic, which already offers publishers what it claims is the industry's fastest content retrieval, has joined with Stylus Studio to further speed up time-to-market for content application. Mark Logic is going about this by integrating Stylus' XQuery, with its Content Interaction Server. Stylus Studio is a leading provider of XML Integrated Development Environments (IDE). Developers use the company's development tools, XQuery, in creating applications. Mark Logic hopes to bring to their clients a fast and easy way to write applications, which address their specific content management needs. To this end, Mark Logic and Stylus have put into developers' hands Stylus Studio's powerful application development tool, XQuery, and integrated it with Mark Logic's server. Dave Kellogg, president and CEO of Mark Logic, noted that both companies stand to benefit through the relationship. Mark Logic's customers will gain greater control over content, while Stylus Studio can advance XQuery. "Together, Mark Logic and Stylus Studio are delivering on the promise of XQuery. XQuery development tools from Stylus Studio make it easier for our customers to write XQuery and take charge of content," he said. Stylus Studio is equally excited. The prospect, it's hoped, will widen adoption of XQuery. "We are excited about the opportunity to support the Mark Logic developer community," Jerry King, general manger of Stylus Studio, said. "Partnership like this are essential to promote the adoption of XQuery as a mainstream technology. The Stylus Studio integration with Mark Logic's Content Interaction Server will allow developers to take advantage of Stylus Studio's unique mapping, debugging, and profiling features to quickly build and deploy XQuery-based applications."
