Expand Networks has demonstrated it is continuing to drive the global WAN Optimization market with its impressive Q2 revenue results signifying a record 47% increase quarter over quarter.
Expand's ability to accelerate all applications in IT projects for virtualization, satellite and server consolidation has resulted in one of the largest install bases in the WAN Optimization market. Expand recently installed its 40,000th unit at the Parmalat Group to improve the performance of the organization's satellite links. Of Expand's 3,500 enterprise and corporate customers, over 2,000 are Citrix Presentation Server (XenApp), Microsoft Terminal Services and VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) based environments.
In order to further capitalize on its ongoing success, Expand has enhanced its organizational structure with a number of senior executive positions as well as expanding its global reach.
Adam Davison assumes the role of Corporate VP Sales and Marketing and will be responsible for implementing sales processes across the regions, coordinating and initiating global initiatives and alliances to enhance Expand's worldwide presence.
Replacing Davison as VP Sales, EMEA is Mike Betz who will oversee the next phase of Expand's aggressive growth in the region. Strategically based in Germany, Betz has already opened a new office in Benelux and will build on Expand's customer successes in Russia and develop the growing satellite market opportunities in Eastern Europe.
In the Americas, Expand has appointed Andy Mullen as Vice President of Sales, Americas. Mullen will manage an enlarged sales team in the US and develop Expand's presence in Latin America and Canada to further drive its global market penetration. In APAC, VP of Sales, Steve O'Brien has continued to increase Expand's footprint in Asia by expanding operations into India.
"Expand continues to achieve extraordinary levels of growth by enabling organisations to successfully execute key IT initiatives," said Elie Barr, CEO of Expand Networks. "We've taken the strategic decision to invest in a variety of sales and management positions to further expand our presence across the world to meet the increased demand for our technology."
