Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. DataPath(R) Awarded $4.8 Million to Support U.S. Army JNN/WIN-T Satellite Terminals
U.S. Army Extends DataPath Field Service Representatives Who Operate and Maintain Tactical SATCOM Network

DULUTH, Ga., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- DataPath, Inc., a leading provider of satellite and wireless communications networks around the world, was awarded $4.8 million to continue providing on-site personnel to operate and maintain U.S. Army satellite communications (SATCOM) systems. This award provides 12 months of funding for DataPath(R) technical personnel based in various locations in the United States. These personnel support Satellite Transportable Terminals (STTs), Master Reference Terminals (MRTs) and Unit Hub SATCOM Trucks (UHSTs) used in the U.S. Army's Joint Network Node (JNN)/Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) program.

"This award funds personnel that support JNN/WIN-T terminals that were used on the battlefield and are being serviced and redeployed," said Steve Lindeman, vice president of Business Operations at DataPath. "This line of SATCOM terminals has proven to be rugged and reliable in the harshest conditions. DataPath on-site technical experts have been a key to that successful performance since the terminals were first deployed."

DataPath has more than 250 services personnel supporting customers around the world. The majority of them work with the U.S. military in more than 60 locations in nine countries, supporting programs such as JNN/WIN-T, the U.S. Army's Deployed Ku Band Earth Terminal (DKET) program, the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) teleport network, and the U.S. Marine Corps' Support Wide Area Network (SWAN) program.

Program Manager WIN-T's Commercial SATCOM Terminal Program (CSTP) at the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command in Fort Monmouth, N.J., made the award through the CSTP Blanket Purchase Agreement contract.
