Industry News Desk IGEL Launches a Virtual Thin Client Evaluation Tool
Provides a no-cost way to evaluate the look-and-feel of the widgetry

Bowing to recession-induced exigencies, IGEL Technology, the third-largest thin client vendor by revenue last year according to IDC, has Simon Richards, IGEL's UK general manager, says if customers like what they see with this first evaluation, they can order a free IGEL kit that will let them test the thin client firmware GUI and features without having to purchase the hardware first. IGEL says the virtualized thin client, which will run in VMplayer on top of a Windows or Linux operating system, includes a full firmware version of its advanced pack except for its Ericom PowerTerm Terminal emulation mojo and can run on a PC or notebook test system.
